I have lived in Indonesia for 30 years — a country that has shaped my life, my career, and my identity in many ways.
My journey began in Jakarta, where I spent most of my years. Jakarta was not just a place to live; it became my classroom of experience. It taught me resilience, business sense, and how to grow in a competitive world. The fast-paced lifestyle and diverse community helped me build strong networks and lasting friendships.
For three beautiful years, I lived in Bali. Bali was different — peaceful, inspiring, and full of culture. Life there felt balanced. I experienced good times, met wonderful people, and enjoyed the natural beauty and international environment that Bali offers.
I also spent one meaningful year in Yogyakarta, often lovingly called Jogja. That year gave me cultural depth and personal growth. The traditions, art, and warm-hearted people left a lasting impression on me.
Throughout these 30 years, I had many good times and built my career across different fields. I worked in reporting, gaining experience in communication and media. I entered the Bar & Restaurant business, where I learned hospitality, management, and customer relations. I was involved in trading, expanding my understanding of markets and international business.
One of the most honorable parts of my journey was serving as a representative of the Government of Nepal. This role allowed me to support my fellow Nepali community and strengthen connections between Nepal and Indonesia. In addition, I provided legal services, helping people navigate challenges and find solutions.
Looking back, Indonesia has not just been a place where I lived — it has been a land of opportunity, growth, and unforgettable memories. Thirty years have passed, filled with hard work, success, challenges, and many good moments. Indonesia will always remain a significant chapter in my life story.
